Terms
The rules for using TrustHunt. Last updated 14 October 2026.
Who we are
TrustHunt (trusthunt.co.uk) is run by Tejveer Singh, a sole trader trading as TrustHunt, in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@trusthunt.co.uk. By using the site you agree to these terms and our privacy notice.
What trust cards are, and aren’t
- A trust card summarises what a tool does with data. Each line says who it comes from: “✓ checked” means we saw evidence ourselves; “~ maker says” is the maker’s own statement; “○ unclaimed” comes from the tool’s public information. Each line has a date.
- Cards help you ask the right questions. They aren’t legal, security or compliance advice, and they aren’t a guarantee about any tool. Tools change; check anything that matters to you with the supplier, and use the live card rather than an old export.
- Templates are starting points. You’re responsible for the final document.
Your account
- One account per person, using an email address you control. Votes count only from work email addresses.
- Keep access to your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Votes and rankings
- Don’t vote with other people’s addresses, buy or trade votes, or ask people to vote in exchange for anything. Makers can’t vote for their own tool.
- We may remove votes, shortlists or watches that break these rules, and close accounts that keep doing it.
- Money never changes a trust card or a ranking. Featured placements (when offered) buy timing and newsletter space only, and are always labelled.
For makers
- Only claim or submit a tool you’re authorised to represent.
- Your card must be accurate and you must keep it current. Lines you change show as “maker says” until we check them, and people watching your tool are told about changes.
- We decide which lines are checked, and we may add, correct or label lines, or remove a listing that misleads.
- You let us publish your card and logo-colour on TrustHunt, in our weekly email and in exports buyers download.
What you post
- Questions, answers and reports must be about the tool, accurate, polite, and free of other people’s personal data. No spam, advertising or defamatory statements.
- You keep ownership of what you post, and give us permission to show it on TrustHunt. We may edit or remove posts that break these rules.
Our responsibility to you
- We provide TrustHunt as it is, and try hard to keep it accurate and available, but can’t promise it will always be correct, complete or online.
- We aren’t responsible for decisions you make based on a card, or for the tools listed, which belong to their makers.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you use TrustHunt as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll email account holders about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
